Quotes:
“Restorative Psychology helps people put the pieces back together.”
“We are more than the trauma that occurred to us... I want everyone to know that they can live life past and beyond their traumas. ”
“Even if you are not feeling dis-regulated, I want you to practice these tools to get your muscle stronger so that when you are met with stress like situations, your body has already started to train....”
“When people know how to self regulate, they are less prone to be traumatized.”
“It’s Nature vs Nurture. It’s how we were brought up and also to what we were exposed to and how much are we aware that we are exposed to it that builds our identity.”
“I was exposed to a lot of different things that at some point I did not know were there because I did not know how to recognize them.”
“Awareness is the key.... It’s about mindfulness of being present.”
“I could have been a replica of what I saw or I could have been resilient and changed the patterns. So I chose to work on my own trauma.”
“I don’t think there’s anyone on this earth that has not been through something. Life is about challenge! There’s pain, there’s loss and in it we become smarter and stronger in the sense of being able to thrive even in pain.”
“If we are not aligned with our values, morals and beliefs then everything around us is incongruent which will never lead us to joy or fulfillment.”
